About Melissa

I have always been a flora lover. I was fond of spending time in my mother’s gardens, and making crowns with the daisies I would gather from the grass. I loved searching for the Linaria, that would line the railroad tracks near my childhood home. I would softly study their tiny and delicate faces. It was as if……all the wildflowers had their own little personalities; beautiful, meaningful, and mysterious.

My adoration for the woods, is never-ending. The wildflowers, curls of fallen birch, moss, and curious rocks…..I will forever be collecting pieces of nature. You may just find me, pulled over on a back road; cutting cattails in the summer, pulling bittersweet from the trees in fall, or trudging through a swamp, determined to find the most gorgeous and un-touched winterberry.

The affection, and delightful smell of walking into a room filled with flowers, is reminiscent of my pre-teen years. One of my sisters designed in flower shops, and at times, she would take me along with her. I was twenty-one years old, when I had my first job as a florist. Five years later, I became the owner of that sweet little shop: The Plant Bazaar Florist in Westborough. I especially enjoyed participating in design shows, where I was honored to receive blue ribbons from Central Ma Flower Show and Teleflora. Many wonderful and interesting people walked through those doors. I loved all the friendships I made along the way. Gratefully….I have maintained so many of those connections; and with whom I continue to work with, to this day.

After ten, amazing, and inspiring years of being a business owner; my heart was at home with my children. I was fortunate and blessed to have had this precious time with them. My youngest son is now in school….and the flowers have been calling my name!

I will be flora designing for Weddings, Special Events, and Family Sympathy Service. Seasonal Gardening, and Holiday Home & Office. I look forward to collaborating with you. Let’s create some Art!!
